I'm moving between Dreams and memories So quickly I'm returned to A repeated scene I fail at being still And shake against my will Staring straight above me When I feel another chill I'm screaming I'm seeing My other self, nailed to the ceiling Blood's dripping down into my eyes A Brief Smile caught me by surprise Attempts at standing tall I feel my armour fall Is it something I'll come back for? It's still too close to call. And I don't hear a sound There's no one around I yell into the darkness Where I know I'm going down A token, Unspoken My reflection, bleeding and broken A Brief Smile caught me by surprise A notion, slow motion I've been suffering through my devotion To take down the monsters in my mind A Brief Smile caught me by surprise I'm healing, I'm dealing With everything that dark's revealing What to keep, and what to leave behind Emerging new, with damage redefined.

The Imposter 03:59
All the time the talk is small I slide my way down the hall It’s a miracle I’m even here at all I’m stepping closer to my fall So let’s play out the part You be the speaker and I will listen Pretend I can relate A nod and a smile A point I’m missing All I’m hoping for Is we find something here to foster Or you’ll find out who I am The imposter. My attention tends to sway Toward the bad things they say It’s irrelevant, I’m leaving anyway I’m getting closer to that day Next time I will try To keep the faith in what I’ve been given And hold my head up high To nod and smile with full precision And I will give my all In search of something here to foster Forgetting who I am The Imposter.

For a while it was clear to see What I didn’t want to believe In the fate that will befall you When this curse has seen us through I catch the pieces as they fall And try to keep you standing tall Unknown faces all around Even though you knew the town And I hoped I would wake up from this dream And you were returned to what I’d always known You would look back and smile at me, ‘Cause I’d been following you where you roam And when you wander down the hall Do you look at the pictures on the wall? The names try to keep you on the ground Is my voice a familiar sound? And I hope when you wake up from this dream And you start to fear that you are all alone You will reach out and soon find me ‘Cause I’ve been following you where you roam And I want you to tell me how you’ve been Retell the stories I already know I will smile when you drift from me ‘Cause I’ll be following you where you roam

The Stoic 04:18
Once I knew I was to blame for what I failed to do Looking for something else to pull me through A changing of my view The excuses only grew Open eyes I look to the lessons of the wise My mind replays a couple more old lies Stagnation in disguise Destruction and demise When I dream The architects were never prepared for me The aftershocks and receding of the sea The ground starts to shift beneath my feet The buildings crashing down into the street I don’t drown I push on through the rubble of this town And even when I long to turn around I’ll remember I am bound To pull up everyone I’ve found When I dream The architect was never prepared for me Becoming more than all they could foresee The ground starts to lift beneath my feet To form a mountain where heaven and earth will meet

Vermin 03:24
The afternoon sun, Is sinking slow You long to feel its gentle glow. The stars come out Or so you’d guess The knock on the door Gets you dressed. They lead you through The narrow halls You hold your hands out Against the wall You hear the shaking Of the keys It brings you down on To your knees They shift to you But look right through The number They’re seeing to. And you are gone You must comply Another vermin From the sky They think it’s right It feels so wrong It fell on deaf ears all along. You call again It echoes out, Another need, You’ll be left without. Creeping steps, Form slippery slopes When fear is granted Too much rope They’ll come for you, And kick right through The door you’ve been clinging to Until they’re gone Don’t make a sound Another vermin From underground They think it’s right It feels so wrong Why do they have to go along? And you are gone You must comply Another vermin From the sky They can’t decide What’s right from wrong It fell on deaf ears all along.

Surface 03:17
The faces they hide The times that they cried The spaces inside From rules they'd abide by The parts that they played The lives that they made Decisions they weighed On all their afraid of There were nights that I'd plead Just to be somebody other than me In time I did concede That we are worth more than We could ever see To fate they were tied And all that implied The feelings of pride Absent and denied They'll never agree On what's best for "me" It's hard to foresee What will set us free There were nights that I'd plead Just to be somebody other than me In time I did concede That we are worth more than We could ever see We've been told these lies Of being solely the surface we advertise Now it's time to revise Our understanding of what We do comprise

A Hard Line 03:24
Their choices starting to unwind They seemed ahead facing behind Counting the blessings to ease their minds Helps them to sleep through broken cries It’s a Hard Line. Giving your all to stem the tide The current moves from fight to hide While counting your blessings to ease a mind That can’t help but want for better times It’s a Hard Line.

You’ve been walking miles Your legs feel unsteady As the waves fill your eyes Your chest feeling tight They claimed you were ready Take it all as a sign Invisible Invisible You searched all night Conceivable Believable This Church of mine. Speaking your mind A movement so steady For the lost and resigned A fate they could buy Just one of the many They come and go all the time Invisible Invisible The promised light Notable Disposable This Church of mine. A body of Bread On the table you’d dine Then rise from your seat And partake in the wine A bed you can rest And a shoulder to cry Convinced you would bleed For them, you would die. Invisible Invisible A future bright Conceivable Believable A well-meaning lie Invisible Invisible Who’s next in line Fakeable Mistakeable This Church of mine.
